TCEA 20 for 2020 (Day Two!) - Wake up to Wakelet!

Today's "TCEA 20 for 2020" tip comes courtesy of two of our incredible staff members who attended the TCEA 2020 Convention and Exposition, our Secondary librarian Katie Michna and 4th Grade teacher Amanda Hawthorne. They both fell in love with Wakelet.

Wakelet is a FREE tool that allows you to easily "save, organize, and share content from across the web". Have you ever run across a great website, a new tool, an incredible picture, or the perfect tweet that you want to reference or share later? Then, when you try to find it again, you can't? Well, Wakelet can fix all that.

With Wakelet, you can easily create collections to save all the great stuff you find online. Each collection can have its own cover art and color scheme and your collections can be shared with others like fellow teachers or students. If you add the Wakelet Google extension, then it's even easier to add a site to a collection by clicking the extension and selecting the collection. The extension also works inside of Twitter so you can save Tweets to your collections!

You can invite contributors to a Wakelet collection via email or by using a collection URL or QR code. You can add Google Drive files and even share Wakelet collections in Google Classroom. And, of course, there's an app so you can add on the go! You can even search for other people's public collections as a starting point!

If you need to get your online resources better organized, Wakelet is for you. So wake up and get Wakelet!
